Plein Air has added Seth Hall to its senior leadership as Senior Advisor on Technology and
Analytics.

Hall spent close to seven years at Olo, departing as AVP of Enterprise Sales. Olo sits in the
ordering and delivery infrastructure layer that any restaurant platform has to integrate with, so
the hire brought in someone who had spent years on the other side of exactly those integrations.

The timing is the story

This was announced in late March 2023. Big Colony launched a fortnight later. Read in sequence,
the hire looks less like adding senior capacity and more like assembling the credibility a platform
launch needs — an agency announcing restaurant technology has to answer why anyone should believe
it can operate infrastructure, and an enterprise sales leader from Olo is a concrete answer.

It is a small entry on its own, which is why it belongs in the archive rather than the front page.
It is also a useful reminder that org announcements are often the earliest visible sign of a
strategy that gets announced properly a month later.
